Willie Henry Stringfellow

Willie Henry Stringfellow was born June 13, 1945 in Arkansas to Hazel Peart Stringfellow Bess. Willie was the first of 15 children.  He was raised by his uncle Willie Clark and his aunt Henry Lou Clark.

As a young man Willie had taken an interest in boxing and became very good at it.  He had a promising career had he decided to continue down that path.  During his time as a boxer, Willie had to register his hands as weapons.  He also worked for years as a factory worker.

Willie moved to Eloy, AZ where he met and fell in love with Rose Braxton.  From their union they had two children, Kenya Stringfellow and Willie Stringfellow Jr.  He later met Emaline Williams who would be his longtime companion of over 30 years.

Willie loved to spend time with his family.  His heart was filled with love for his children and grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his mother, Hazel Pearl  Stringfellow Bess; sister, Helen Williams and his longtime companion, Emaline Williams.  Willie leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Kenya (Joseph Collier) Stringfellow; son, Willie Stringfellow Jr; five grandchildren, Keyna Rutledge, Kyalee Collier, Kanaiya Collier, Jah'Trese Stringfellow and Amelia Stringfellow; seven brothers, George Leonard, Mose Leonard, LoeDan Bess, Prince Givens< David Embers, Michael Embers and Ronnie Gray; six sisters, Ada Bess, Dorothy Fay Bess, Bernice Givens, Diane Givens, Renee Givens and Yvette Bess.  Willie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for all the offers of love, kindness, concern and prayers during this time of bereavement.

Memorial Services for Mr. Stringfellow will be held at 10:00a.m on Saturday August 5, 2023 at J. Warren Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, 525 N. Peart Road, Casa Grande, AZ.  Family to host a reception following the service.  Location to be announced at the service.
