Willard Wayne Antone

CASA BLANCA — Willard Wayne Antone Sr., 78, died on Aug. 4, 2023.

Mr. Antone was a son of the late Gladys R. Porter Preston and Jose Antone of Casa Blanca. He was a Gila River Indian Community member and graduated from Stewart Indian High School in Nevada and Central Arizona College's career center as a heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic. He was also a farmer and construction laborer, a man of many jobs and talents.

He was a kind man who loved to read and do woodcarving, wood burning, ink drawing and painting. He enjoyed time with his family and friends telling stories and joking around. He loved his four-legged friend Red.

Survivors include two brothers, Eldon R. Antone and Rodney R. Antone; two sisters, Marsha Pedro and Maxine Martinez; a son and two daughters, Willard W. Antone Jr., Sheryl I. Antone and Elizabeth J. Antone Apodaca; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by sons Jose Antone II and Tracy L.J. Antone, eight siblings, three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Service at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Casa Blanca Worshiping Center.
