Tomasa Pinon Perez, 72, of Casa Grande died peacefully on May 16, 2011, at home, surrounded by her family.
Visitation will begin at noon Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 1. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 by the Rev. Kevin Clinch. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Perez was born on Oct. 29, 1938, in Tres Jacales, Chihuahua, Mexico, and was a daughter of Tomas and Nicolasa Pinon. She was a day care provider for several years. She and her husband built and operated J&T Mini Storage, working together for many years. During her life she held various jobs from field laborer to sewing machine operator in the textile industry.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing and gardening and for many years raised farm animals, which she enjoyed sharing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Jesus R.; three sons, Jesse Perez Jr., Johnny and Enrique Perez, all of Casa Grande; two daughters, Gloria Ochoa and Nicolaza “Nikki” Burns of Casa Grande; four brothers, Rosendo, Raul, Manuel and Richard Pinon; four sisters, Chavela Campa, Rosie Dryden, Frances and Esther Pinon; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Reyes, Martin and Pedro Pinon, and two sisters, Connie Ornelas and Martha Ashley.
