Tom Donald Solis, 82, of Coolidge passed away peacefully on January 6, 2024. He was born in Tucson on November 2, 1941, to John and Amelia Solis.
In his life, Tom dedicated himself to serving and protecting others as a member of law enforcement. He embarked on this noble path in 1963 when he joined Eloy Police Department. Three years later, he continued his calling with the Coolidge Police Department. In 1974, he transitioned to the Pinal County Sheriffs Office where he served as an investigator until his well-earned retirement in 2010.
Outside of his service, Tom found joy in life's simpler pleasures. A true connoisseur of coffee, he cherished his daily indulgence in this warm elixir. However, his greatest source of happiness was undoubtedly found in the presence of his beloved family. Whether it was cherishing moments with his children or reveling in the laughter of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family held a special place in his heart.
Tom was well-known for being a man of amiability and gentleness. Friends would often gather with him at Tag's, a favored diner where they exchanged stories and shared many laughter-filled morning together.
In addition to these passions, Tom was an avid supporter of the Arizona Diamondbacks—an unwavering fan through wins and losses alike.
Tom leaves behind his loving wife Linda Solis and their five children: Thomas Solis Jr., John Peter (Elvira) Solis, Darren (Katrina) Solis, Mona Lisa (Brandon) Jordan, and Lori Ann (Ray) Aguayo. His legacy continues through fourteen dear grandchildren and sixteen precious great-grandchildren who will forever cherish the memories they have created together.
