Taylor Scott Pitman

April 22, 2002 — August 13, 2024

Casa Grande

Born April 22, 2002, to parents Adam and Deanna Pitman, Taylor was the oldest of three children. He was born in Oxnard, California, living also in Cedar City, Utah before his family settled in Casa Grande, Arizona in 2010.

Taylor lived his life with zeal. Whether it was playing the trumpet in band at school, running cross country, being a Life Scout, working or singing loudly to the eclectic music on a road trip, he always gave his all. A 2020 graduate of Vista Grande High School, Taylor stayed in Casa Grande after graduation and focused on his future.

He was a member and advisor for the Saguaro Chapter Order of DeMolay, an international young men's organization for ages 12-21 that is youth led and adult supervised. In addition, he served as State Senior Councilor (Vice VP) and Mentor with the Arizona DeMolay State Association, where he was recognized for his continuous efforts to encourage leadership in young men throughout the state. Taylor took pride in inspiring others. He was also a leader at Eegee’s where he was proud to put his well-earned leadership skills to use. He lived loudly and loved his family fiercely.

On August 13, 2024, Taylor left this world too soon. He is survived by his parents, Adam and Deanna, his brothers, Mason and Cooper, grandparents Linda and William Pitman, Carlene and Scott Reid, and Martha and James Harkins, in addition to his Aunt Karen Pitman, Aunt and Uncle Rachel and Aaron Pitman, and Aunt and Uncle Stephanie and JJ Harkins, as well as many incredible cousins and friends.

He has been described recently by family and friends as being selfless, spirited, passionate, adventurous, brilliant minded, enthusiastic, inspirational and a tremendous force. He is loved by many and missed by all those who knew him.T

There will be a memorial celebration on Friday, August 23, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1555 N. Colorado Street in Casa Grande at 6:00 pm. Please wear something blue to honor his favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, Taylor’s family encourages donations in his name to the Casa Grande Alliance (casagrandealliance.org) or another worthy cause of your choice.
