Richard Lewis

CASA BLANCA — Richard Vernon Lewis, 74, died on May 22, 2023, in Bapchule.

Mr. Lewis was born on March 12, 1949, in Sacaton and was a son of Alfred and Virginia Paloma Lewis. Maria Harvey and Nickolas Lewis were his grandparents. He was a simple man who enjoyed being outdoors and liked to work with his hands, building, rebuilding and repairing various things.

He also had a talent for art. Throughout all the trials and tribulations in his life, he always maintained his great sense of humor.

Survivors include three siblings, James Lewis of Santan, Alvin D. Lewis of Bapchule and Frances Lewis-Jenkins of Phoenix, and nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings Reynold, Jerome and Alberta Lewis, Marjorie Mills and Christine Lewis.

Rosary recited at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, at his home in West Casa Blanca. Burial at 5 a.m. on Sunday, June 4, in Sacate Cemetery.
