Norman Joseph Thomas,

CHUICHU - Norman Joseph Thomas Sr., 69, died March 13, 2008.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in ChuiChu. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10. The rosary service and visitation will continue until 4. Burial will be in South ChuiChu Cemetery.


Mr. Thomas was born Nov. 28, 1938 in ChuiChu. He was a heavy-equipment operator. He was president of the St. Augustine council for eight years and a member of the Sif Oidak District Cattle Association. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, joking around and working outside.

Survivors include his companion, Vera Lopez; two sons, Donovan M. and Norman J. Thomas Jr. of ChuiChu; two stepsons, Kenneth and Kyle Joaquin of Tucson; three stepdaughters, Amanda Jose, Serena and Patricia Joaquin, all of Tucson; his mother, Matilda Miguel of ChuiChu; and a brother, Milton Miguel of ChuiChu. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma M.; a brother, Clifford Miguel; and his father, Jack V. Thomas.
