Michelle Lanette Martinez

Michelle Lanette Martinez, 50, died May 30, 2023, in her Sacaton home surrounded by family. She was born on April 11, 1973, in Sacaton to Clifford Dwayne Thomas and Majel Lanette Manuel.

Michelle was a very caring person, who enjoyed helping others. She was creative and enjoyed crafts and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed listening to old country and chicken scratch music. She loved taking care of her cats and dogs. Michelle worked for the Gila River Indian Community’s Crime Victim Services as an Advocate helping her community for over 9 years even with her health issues toward the end of her employment. 

She is survived by her husband Dennis Martinez Sr., sons and daughters, Raven Angel Martinez, Nisto Martinez, Jalisa Molina, Diedra Gonzalez, Dennis Martinez II, Damian Martinez, her mother Majel Thomas and her brother Terrell Thomas and 5 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, and grandmother, Alice Manuel.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10^th from 10am-2pm at the District 3 Service Center in Sacaton.
