Marcus Daniel Lewis

Marcus Daniel Lewis, known affectionately as "Taz", passed away July 14, 2024, in Blackwater, Arizona. He was born on June 25, 1996, in Tucson, Arizona.

Taz was a vibrant individual with a strong heart and respect for life. His personality was marked by his unwavering dedication to helping his family, his love for music, and his remarkable sense of humor that never failed to bring joy and laughter to those around. A talented artist, Taz found solace and expression through drawing and other creative pursuits. He actively participated in the cowboy roles on the reservation, and he had compassion for animals and all living things. He also participated in a couple of boxing clubs as a youth and went to many tournaments’ states away. 

His culinary skills were renowned among family and friends, with hamburgers being his specialty and grilled chicken being a dish he was mastering. Taz approached life with tenacity and always strived to give his best in everything he did.

He is survived by his father, Douglas C. Lewis; mother, Arlene M. Andres; brother, Alden Lewis. He is preceded in death by his sister, Delyla Lewis; uncle, Brent Lewis; and aunt, Felicia Andres. Taz's presence will be deeply missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

May Marcus Daniel Lewis rest in peace knowing he touched the lives of many with his kindness, creativity, and unwavering spirit.
