Luke Antone Jr.

October 10, 1932 — September 22, 2023

Luke Antone Jr., 90, of Sacaton, passed away at his home on September 22, 2023. He was born on October 10, 1932, in Toadlena, New Mexico to Luke Sr. and Della Antone. Luke Jr. was a remarkable individual who will be remembered for his sense of humor, outgoing nature, and loving demeanor.

Luke had a passion for sports and was an avid Arizona Cardinals fan. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music and traditional songs that resonated with him deeply. Western TV shows, such as "Gunsmoke," brought him joy as he appreciated the storytelling and characters.

Another talent that Luke possessed was dancing. In his younger days, he would captivate others with his grace and rhythmic movements. As a dedicated father, he cherished the time spent with his children, taking them wherever they needed to go.

Being the only boy amongst eight siblings, Luke developed a strong work ethic early on in life. He remained a diligent worker throughout his years and always prioritized the well-being of his family.

Luke is survived by his sons Lonnie, Len, and daughter Lori Antone, along with his sisters Lucille Gallegos, Marie Lewis, and Rhoda Antone. He will be lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his immediate family members mentioned above, Luke is preceded in death by his wife, Georgiann Antone, parents; grandson Steven Mendez Sr.; great-grandson Alexis Sagarnaga Jr.; and sisters Clara Morgan, Rebecca King, Anabelle Sorrell, and Doris Naranjo.

J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
