Lucia C. Garcia, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away on September 21,2024, in Casa Grande, Arizona. Born on March 4, 1931, in San Benito, Texas, Lucia lived a life filled with deep faith, love for her family, and a commitment her community that will not be forgotten. Lucia's Grand daughter Anjelic Castaneda was her caregiver for 14 years up until her final hour.
Lucia found joy in the simpler things, whether it was cheering for her beloved Diamondbacks or getting lost in her favorite novellas. She had a special place in her heart for family gatherings, often enjoying spirited games of bingo where laughter and good company were always present. A dedicated Guadalupana for many years, she exemplified her faith through acts of kindness and devotion, deeply influencing those around her.
Her family was everything to her; she cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, creating memories that they will hold dear forever. Lucia’s legacy of love will continue to resonate within her family and friends, who will remember her warmth and nurturing spirit.
Lucia leaves behind her loving children: Juan Macias, Jesse Macias, Joe Macias, Carlos Macias, Martin Macias, Connie Weber, and Jesus Garcia. She is survived by her brother, Victor Camacho and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, even Great-great grandchildren.
Lucia was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Garcia, and her parents, Maria Consuelo Garcia and Jesus Camacho. She was also preceded by her brothers, Jesus Galvan, Arturo Barrera, Francisco Camacho, and her sisters, Francisca Camacho and Elvira Rijas. Additionally, she was welcomed into eternal rest by her adoptive mother, Lilly Galves.
As we remember Lucia C. Garcia, we celebrate a life well-lived, characterized by love, faith, and unwavering dedication to family. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
