Jose Carmen Castillo-Zavala, born on January 17, 1950, in Topia, Durango, Mexico, gracefully departed this life on October 1, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona. He was a cherished husband, father, Grandfather, and brother who left indelible mark on the hearts of those who were enough to know him.
Jose is survived by his beloved spouse, Patricia Soliz Castillo, and his two children, Lorenzo and Analysia Castillo. He also leaves behind five siblings and one grandchild, who will carry forward his memories and the legacy of joy he imparted to his family. His family will forever hold close the moments filled with laughter and warmth that he provided.
Jose was known for his infectious sense of humor and ever-present smile, traits that endeared him to many. His passions extended beyond family; he found joy in gardening, taking pleasure in nurturing plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. An avid dog lover, Jose enjoyed the companionship of his pets and often spoke about the happiness they brought to his life. His interests also included watching movies and indulging in music, activities that allowed him to connect with friends and family in memorable ways.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Jose Carmen Castillo-Zavala on October 18, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Casa Grande - Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, located at 525 N Peart Road, Casa Grande, AZ 85122. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to share in the memories of a remarkable man whose light touched many.
As we remember Jose and reflect on his life, let us not only mourn his passing but also celebrate the joy he brought into our lives through his humor, love for family, and passion for the little joys of life. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
