John Gabriel Setoyant, 72, of Parker, died July 7, 2023. He was born January 5, 1951, in Wet Camp Village, Arizona to Addison S. Setoyant and Nancy L. Cross.
John had a real talent for working on cars. It brought him great joy seeing the car he fixed, drive away. He was a friend to all and would give the shirt off his back. He enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams. Watching Westerns, Family Feud and Judge Judy was something he looked forward to everyday. He would call his daughters and tell them “Don’t make me lose all my quarters”. He loved all of his children and his grandkids very much.
He is survived by his wife Rinda, his children, Francis Setoyant, Marinda Miguel, Arlinda Setoyant, Belinda Setoyant, his siblings, Lucius Setoyant, Marlene Setoyant, Ronald Setoyant Sr., Delores Marrietta and Mervin Setoyant Sr., 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son Hiawatha Setoyant, his siblings, Linda Joaquin and Victor Setoyant and his parents.
A wake will be held on Friday. July 14th beginning at 6pm at the District Five Multipurpose Center in Bapchule, and graveside services will be the following morning at 6am at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Bapchule.
