Janelle Shirene Mejia

Janelle Shirene Mejia, 49, of Casa Grande, died in Tucson on May 15, 2023. She was born April 8, 1974, in Phoenix to Patrick Thomas Sr. and Sharon Lewis.

Janelle was very a creative thinker and decorator. She would go all out to decorate during the Holiday seasons. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a strong woman of faith and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her animals. Janelle loved her grandbabies; they meant the world to her.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Mejia, her sons, Daniel and Issiac Mejia, her mother, Sharon Lewis, her siblings, Patrick Thomas Jr., Donnie Miles, Pamela Whitman, Sherlene Miles, and Hannah Kyyitan, and two grandsons, Xavier Mejia and Zion Mejia.

She is preceded in death by her father, Patrick Thomas Sr., and her grandmother Imogene Thomas.

A wake will be held on Friday, May 26^th. 7pm at the Multipurpose Building in Blackwater. Church services will be Saturday, May 27, 6am at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Blackwater and burial to follow, at West Blackwater Cemetery.
