Felicitas Hernandez, 81, of Picacho died Sept. 12, 2009 at home, with her family beside her.

Visitation was last Thursday at Glad Tidings Church in Casa Grande. The funeral there followed with Pastor M.L. Shreffler officiating. Burial was to be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hernandez was born Oct. 30, 1927 in Mexico to Leandro Chavez and Margarita Lobato. She married the love of her life, Florencio Hernandez, on Aug. 4, 1943. She devoted all of her life to her family as a homemaker. She was a Godly woman and a “Prayer Warrior.”

She was a member of La Hermosa Church in Eloy. In her later years when she was unable to attend church, the Ladies Group would come and minister to her at home.

Survivors include five daughters, Ester Hernandez of Arizona City, Angie Ruiz of Brigham City, Utah, Elizabeth Salazar of Casa Grande, Alice Cottrell of Brigham City and Ellen Reyes of Modesto, Calif.; seven sons, Henry Hernandez of Brigham City, Sammy Hernandez of Casa Grande, Danny Hernandez of Brigham City, Florencio Hernandez Jr. of Springdale, Ark., David Hernandez of Picacho, Aaron and Abel Hernandez of Casa Grande; a sister, Celia Ybarra of Oklahoma; a brother, Mariano Chavez of Texas; 34 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother; a sister; and two grandchildren.

J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
