Eugene E. Fleishman, 91, a longtime Casa Grande resident, died March 27, 2024 at home with his family by his side after a long, rich, and faith-filled life.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 11:00 and the funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 by the Rev. Ariel Lustan. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Fleishman, born November 2, 1932 in his home in Antigo, Wisconsin, was the son of Joseph and Clara (Skarlupka) Fleischman. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church and had been active in theater in Casa Grande for decades. Eugene was a partner in Cromer Drywall in the late 70's, a teacher in the Casa Grande Elementary District for close to 20 years, and the owner of Archery Haus here in Casa Grande. He later volunteered at Casa Grande Union High School and Vista High School in their theater departments, took thousands of photos of boys' and girls' athletic events, and numerous other student activities, giving the photos away to students and families. In his later years, he taught for Mohave Community College. He ultimately retired from teaching after 49 years of service. Prior to moving to Casa Grande, Eugene taught science, math, and drama in Watertown Wisconsin. Eugene Fleishman was an avid fisherman, hunter, and archer.

Eugene is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Beutonne. Survivors include a daughter, Donna L. Telles (John) of Casa Grande; two sons, Michael E. Fleishman (Deborah) of Williams, and Joseph H. Fleishman (Susan) of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
