Donna McIntosh Clements, 99, died peacefully at her home in Casa Grande on March 7, 2024.

Born the youngest of five sisters in 1924, she graduated from Waverly, NE high school and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University where she met and married Dr. Philip McIntosh. The couple moved to Ottumwa, IA where he practiced family medicine and they raised three children. In 1974 Phil moved his practice to Casa Grande with Donna serving as office manager.

After Phil’s death she married Claude Clements, serving as mother and grandmother to Claude’s adult children and their families. “Nonna” loved crisscrossing the country to spend time with her entire extended family.

After Claude’s death in the early 2000’s she eventually became reacquainted with yet another midwestern farm boy, retired professor Dr. Charles Rehwaldt, with whom she was a committed companion until his death in 2015.

She was devoted to her faith and her families, as well as a fan of the Suns and the Cardinals. She believed strongly in education and was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for over 70 years, providing philanthropic support for the scholarship of young women.

She is survived by her daughter Marj Scott, who was also her caretaker in her final years, daughter Pat Vaughn (Greg) and son Mike McIntosh (Debbie), seven grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren.

A local memorial service will be held at 3 pm Tuesday March 19 at the First Presbyterian Church at 702 E Cottonwood in Casa Grande. A celebration of her life with extended family will be held at a later date in Waverly, NE where her remains will be inurned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, the P.E.O. Sisterhood or Seeds of Hope.
