Daniel Francis Nish Sr.

Daniel Francis Nish Sr., 73, of Santan, died August 3, 2023, in Sacaton. He was born February 5, 1950, in Olberg, Arizona to Ernest and Lohina Nish.

Daniel was a sociable person and very outspoken.  He was always willing to help those in need. He often contributed to St. Anne’s Catholic Church and his community. He was a dedicated, hard worker, and no matter what his health permitted, he still felt the need to work. Daniel was a Matachina dancer and loved listening to Elvis and the Beetles. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, ASU fan and enjoyed going to the casinos.

He is survived by his lifetime companion of 50 years, Karen Jose, sons and daughters, Vicki Nish-Gomez, Danny Nish, Daniella Nish, Shannon Lewis and Daniel Nish Jr., 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Darnell Jose, his parents, his siblings and 2 great grandchildren.

A wake will be held Friday, August 11^th beginning at 6pm at District 4 Multipurpose Building in Santan. Mass will be held on Saturday, August 12^th beginning at 6am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Santan and burial to follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.
