Bobby Gene Herndon

Bobby G. Herndon, 89, of Casa Grande, AZ was born on August 5, 1932 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on September 10, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Bob and his wife, Gerry, were married for 59 years, (when she passed in 2014) and resided in Casa Grande after Bob retired as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army. They lived many places and traveled during the Army, but made Casa Grande their home in 1980. Bob service our great Country for 30 years. He was a soldier during Korean and Vietnam wars. In Korean war, he was a recipient of the Combat Medal Badge. In Vietnam war, he received the Air Medal, Bob was truly proud of his service. He enjoyed golf, and had love for his animals, especially his dogs and horses. Bob and Gerry never had children, so he had many special "adopted" ones that considered him family. He will be greatly missed by them all. Bob is proceeded in death by, his wife, Germaine Herndon, his parents, Acie and Ethel Herndon and his siblings.

Service will be held at J. Warren Funeral Home Chapel, September 27th at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Mt. View Cemetery to follow.
