Bertha L. Bejar was born on June 6, 1944 in Estacion Llano, Sonora, Mexio to Jose Luis and Elisa Bernal. She finished her course and kept the faith and was called to be with the Lord on January 14, 2023 .The Bernal family immigrated to Az. when she was but 4 years old where they lived in Ajo and Phoenix. She was baptized and received the Holy Ghost in the Phoenix church on December 31, 1957. She became a citizen of the United States in 1971. She met her husband to be in 1957 and they married on June 16, 1963. Pete and Lillie had two children, Cyndi Allen and Pete Bejar. After being ordained to the Ministry, she and Pete moved to Hayward, CA in 1968 so he could attend the Colegio Biblico Apostolico Nacional (CBAN). They returned to Arizona after his graduation to pastor works in Coolidge and Glendale. They returned to Hayward and attended the First Apostolic Church of Hayward. In 1979, they answered the call to pastor in Colorado. They pastored in Delta, Pueblo and Colorado Springs, Co. Lillie returned to Arizona for a brief time then joined Pete in Puyallup, WA. They lived in Puyallup from 1990 to 2020 when they returned to Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Luis and Elisa Bernal, her sister, Micaela Bernal and her brother, Jose Bernal. She is survived by her brothers, Alfonso, Danny and Abel Bernal and her sisters, Lollie Bernal and Liz Lespron. She is also survived by her children, Cyndi and Shane Allen and her son, Pete Bejar. She leaves her grandchildren, Justina Gutierrez, Janae and Jasmine Montez and grandson, Carter Bejar. She leaves a legacy of faithfulness to the Lord, working hands as the BEST tamale maker and a willing servant's heart.
