Bernadette Mae Stone, 77, of Sacaton, passed away peacefully at home on September1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 30, 1947 in Bapchule to Herman A. Setoyant and Felicitas Phillipson, Bernadette was known for her warm heart and her commitment to caring for others.
Throughout her life, Bernadette exhibited a passion for the arts, particularly as a basket dancer. She found joy in cooking and cherished moments spent with family during drives, movie outings, gatherings, and cook-outs. Music was an essential part of her life, with reggae being her preferred genre. Her love for her family, and especially her grandchildren, was a central theme in her life.
Bernadette is survived by her husband, Everett Stone Sr.; her sons, Fabian James and Everette Stone Jr.; her siblings, Gerald Setoyant, Gloria Setoyant, and Clarinda Setoyant; as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughters Ellamae Stone and Patricia Stone, and her siblings Clarence Rivers, Everett Rivers and Edwin Rivers Sr.
A Mass in her honor will be held on Saturday, September 21st, at Saint Anne's Catholic Mission in Santan, followed by burial at Saint Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Bernadette's legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by all who knew her.
