Amelita M. Osequeda

Amelita M. Osequeda,  41, died on August 31, 2023, in Phoenix. Born on July 23, 1982, in Gila Bend to Manuel R. Osequeda Sr. and Elita R. Manuel-Osequeda. 

Amelita will always be remembered for her kind and caring nature. She found joy in spending quality time with her family, particularly doting on her nieces and nephews – she truly was the best Tia ever. 

 She is survived by her mother, Elita Osegueda; four brothers; eight sisters; and her Godson, Gino Osequeda. 

 Amelita was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Osegueda Sr., as well as one brother and one sister. 

Services will be of Friday, September 8, 2023, starting at 5 p.m. at San Lucy Catholic Mission, with mass at 6 p.m. The burial will be on Saturday, September 9, at 6 a.m., San Lucy Cemetery, Tohono O’odham Nation.
