AK-CHIN — Allan Narcia, 44, died on Dec. 30, 2021.
Mr. Narcia was born in Phoenix on Feb. 19, 1977, to Lorren Lewis and Rosalie Narcia.
He was a strong man, very protective of family and friends, and always took his culture and sacred Native American traditions his grandfather instilled into him very seriously. He was a smart man and his family said he was always teaching things (whether wanted or not) to his younger siblings and relatives. Life lessons ranged from something as simple as teaching his niece to tie her shoes to how to scramble an egg to art lessons, as he was well known around his community for his artist drawings, to driving lessons.
If it was broken people took it to him to fix, including items around the house to carpentry to electrical speakers to even taking apart his car and rebuilding. He was very proud to have been self-taught in mechanical skills. He recently enrolled in school but had yet to attend. After the loss of his mother and sister, he wasn't sure what his life would be like without them; he was reassured with a blessing of his own firstborn. His life quickly had purpose again and he was a very hands-on, attentive, loving father. He always said, “Your word is your bond."
He is survived by a son, Leonard Narcia; his father; and three siblings, Luis Rodas, Ariana and Shanna Narcia. He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Mary Rodas.
