Willard Zimmer

FLORENCE - Willard Collins Zimmer, 77, of Florence died on Feb. 6, 2015, at home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Zimmer home, 1119 W. Northern Ave. in Coolidge.

Mr. Zimmer was born on Aug. 17, 1937, in New York City and was a son of Marie and Willard C. Zimmer Sr. He served in the military and was an electrician. A very friendly person, he enjoyed making people laugh and had a great sense of humor. He was very reliable, loved his car, which he called Marilyn, and enjoyed the outdoors and doo-wop music. He loved the West.

Survivors include two daughters, Christine Zimmer of Coolidge and Elaine Zimmer of Mesa; a son, Eric Zimmer of Florence; a sister, Myra Vanetti of Ringwood, New Jersey; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; a daughter, Susan A. Zimmer; and a brother, Gary Zimmer.
