ANEGAM VILLAGE - Willard Juan Sr., 71, of Anegam Village died July 3, 2009 at Maricopa Medical Center.

The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Clare Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 8 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot officiating. Burial will be at 5 a.m. Saturday at the Anegam Cemetery.

Mr. Juan was born Jan. 20, 1938 in Broad Acres Village. He was a son of Moses and Lucy Juan. He served in the U.S. Army and as a politician in tribal government.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine; four sons, Frank of Tucson, Duane, Irving and Willard Jr., all of Anegam; two daughters, Phyllis and Beverly of Anegam; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edmund, and one sister, Eugina Thomas.
