Wesley Mitchel

Wes passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2013. He was born November 14, 1930 to Willie and Lillian (Parker) Mitchell in Bu alo, New York. The family moved to Oregon in 1933 where he spent his childhood. Wes married Marilyn Harder and they had two children, Lynne and Brady. They moved to California in the mid-60s. Marilyn preceded Wes in death at the age of 32. He met his surviving wife Patricia (Huntley) in 1968 in the Napa Valley and they were married in 1969. Wes’ career included jobs in the lumber business, the wine industry and mortgage banking. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean Con ict. Wes and Patricia enjoyed the RV lifestyle for six years before settling into life at Palm Creek. Wes was a craftsman and enjoyed spending time with friends at Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort in the wood shop. He also enjoyed remote control cars, boats and planes.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, daughter Lynne (John) Tra enstedt and son Brady (Barbara) Mitchell; six grandchildren, John and Kim Nelson, Karen Hall, Brady Mitchell, Jr., Lauren Mitchell and Kyle Mitchell; and nine great-grandchildren.
Please join the family to celebrate Wes’ life on Sunday, November 24, 2013 in the ballroom at Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort, 1110 N. Henness Road, Casa Grande. Wes will be buried at the Veteran’s National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, AZ. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cancer Support Center, 1890 E. Florence Blvd., Casa Grande.
