SACATON - Wendelyn Faye Rhodes, 56, died May 14, 2009 in Sacaton.
The wake will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton. The graveside service will be at 6 a.m. Saturday in East Sacaton Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Blackwater officiating.
Ms. Rhodes was born in Phoenix. She was an assistant cook. She enjoyed beading native jewelry. During the summer she taught Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Antonia and Belen T. Sanchez of Sacaton; four brothers, Darryl, Dwight, Robin and Robert Rhodes, all of Sacaton; five sisters, Cornelia Eschief of Blackwater, Margaret Armstrong of Sacaton, Cecelia Henry of Casa Grande, JoEllen Loutzenheiser of Casa Grande and Marjorie Lewis of Chandler; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgina and Dallas D. Rhodes Sr.; a daughter, Elyse Sanchez; a brother, Dallas Jr.; and a sister, Della Walker.
