Wayne H. Wiersema

ELOY - Wayne H. Wiersema, 62, of Eloy died Oct. 6, 2007 in Casa Grande.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warre n Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande by the Rev. Doug Lorig. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 E. Baseline Road in Mesa.

Mr. Wiersema was born Nov. 25, 1944 in Chicago and was a son of Siert and Alice Wiersema. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He and his wife, Diane, moved their family to Scottsdale in 1986. He was a truck driver. He was known for his friendly smile, cheery attitude and hearty laugh.

In addition to his wife of 38 years, survivors include two daughters, Wendy Ann Skinner of Mesa and Carrie Jo Kapp of Gilbert; a sister, Barbara Doot of Beecher, Ill.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Wiersema.
