Wanda Montana

SAN LUCY VILLAGE — Wanda M. Montana, 74, died on May 27, 2022.

Ms. Montana was born on Feb. 6, 1948, in Theba to Irene Cipriano and John Manuel Montana Sr. After high school she lived in Chicago for a few years, then came back to care for her mother and younger siblings.

She loved to read, sing, dance and watch old movies. She was office manager for the Tohono O’odham Farming Authority and district secretary in San Lucy.

She is survived by two sisters, Jana Montana and Elferna Montana, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Elsi, Jerry, Shirley, Cindy and John M. Montana Jr.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at St. Lucy Catholic Mission. Burial at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, in Pioneer Cemetery, Gila Bend.
