Viola E Baugus

Viola Elizabeth Baugus, born April 4, 1933 in Amarillo, Texas and passed away April 9, 2023 in Maricopa, Arizona.  

Viola was a 65 year resident of Maricopa and lived in Coolidge for 20 years prior to that.  She was a strong business woman and devoted 34 years of her life to teaching.  She loved to travel, dance and cook, as well as quilting

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Baugus, son, Joe Baugus, mother, Emma Underwood and sister, Imagene Johnson.  Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon Holmes (of Arizona City, Arizona) and Harold Baugus, Jr (of Lincoln City, Oregon), five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A funeral ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 9:30 am at Maricopa First Baptist Church in Maricopa, Arizona.  Graveside services and internment will take place following at Mountain View Cemetery in Casa Grande, Arizona.
