Vicenta G. "Bessie" Nakwas

COOLIDGE - Vicenta G. "Bessie" Nakwas, 76, of Coolidge died on May 15, 2016.

Ms. Nakwas was born on April 5, 1940, in Douglas. She was a certified nursing assistant, and her passion was her family. She enjoyed dancing, partying, crocheting, knitting and sewing.

She was a life member and active in Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, was secretary for five years and state secretary for two years. She really loved her children.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Nunez, Nancy Ann Nunez and Artemisa Nunez; two sons, Benjamin and Daniel Nunez; 17 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cenovio Gomez and Florentino Cristan and a brother, Robert Gomez.

The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel, with Deacon Pat Abiles officiating.
