Vanessa Mercado

Vanessa Marie Mercado, 23, of Casa Grande died on April 12, 2012, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by the Rev. John Arnold. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Ms. Mercado, sometimes called "La India," was born on Aug. 5, 1988, in Los Angeles. She was a homemaker and enjoyed hanging out with family, singing and dancing. She acted like a movie star and loved her children, writing and drawing pictures.
Survivors include her father, Arcenio Valencia of Florence; her grandfather, Ramon Fernandez of Casa Grande; five brothers, Ricky, Rene, Ramon, Joseph and Abel; and three children. Her mother, Margarita Carcamo, died the same day and she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Requena.
