Thomas Trainer

Thomas Albert Trainer, 77, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 14, 2013, at home.
A private service will be held later.
Mr. Trainer was born on July 15, 1935, in Williston, N.D. He served in the Air Force and later was a diplomat for the State Department. He enjoyed classical music and ancient history and was a World War II history buff. He also enjoyed Star Wars, Harry Potter, tigers, dragons, birds and astronomy. He wrote science fiction stories on the Internet.
Survivors include his wife, Monika B.; a daughter, Tanja N. Trainer of San Clemente, Calif.; his mother, Ruth C. Trainor of Kent, Wash.; a brother, Kenneth Trainor of Seattle; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Trainor.
