Thomas "Rip" Van Winkle

ARIZONA CITY — Thomas “Rip” Van Winkle, 70, of Arizona City died on Feb. 13, 2010 at Hospice Family Care in Casa Grande.
The service will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at his home.
Mr. Van Winkle was born on Dec. 10, 1939 in Cleveland and was a son of Henry and Mary Van Winkle. He was a mechanic and welder and worked in shipyards. He enjoyed racing and watching stock car racing.
Survivors include his wife, De Ette; two daughters, Amy Van Winkle of San Diego and Shelley Asbury of Arizona City; a son, Tom Van Winkle Jr. of Arizona City; three sisters; a brother; and three grandchildren.
