AK-CHIN — Theodore Enos, 93, of Ak-Chin died on May 5, 2012, at Caring House in Sacaton.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Ak-Chin Indian Community's Service Center. The funeral there will follow at 10, with the Rev. Sharon Selestewa officiating. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
Mr. Enos was born on Jan. 6, 1919, in Scottsdale and was a son of Juan and Susan Enos. He was a police officer for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs for 28 years and was Ak-Chin police chief for five years. He was Presbyterian and enjoyed being with his grandchildren, especially going on trips with them. He liked watching sports, taking trips, gardening and farming in his younger years.
Survivors include two daughters, Myrna Wagner of Maricopa and Theda Corona of Salt River; two sons, Terry Enos of Ak-Chin and Larson Enos Sr. of Salt River; a sister, Ruth Chough of Salt River; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Thomas Enos; a daughter, Phoebe Enos; two sons, Danny and Darice Enos; a sister, Blanche Enos; and a granddaughter, Clarissa Mike.
