Thanett Jackson

ELOY - Thanett Timothy Jackson, 58, of Eloy died on March 11, 2014.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Westside Church of God in Christ. The funeral will follow at 11, with Pastor Charlie Joe Payne officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Sometimes called Peewee, Mr. Jackson was born on Feb. 23, 1956, the fifth of seven children. He was introduced to church with his family at an early age. He attended Curiel Annex Elementary, then moved to Los Angeles and attended school there. He moved back to Eloy and was a roofer and hard worker. He enjoyed watching sports, playing dominoes and cards, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Opal Jackson of Los Angeles; three brothers, Albert Jackson of Eloy, Herman and Jerry D. Jackson of Los Angeles; and a sister, Alicia Jackson of Eloy. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Jackson Jr.
