Teophiel Claeys

Teophiel "Phil" Claeys, 83, of Casa Grande died March 17, 2008 in Casa Grande.


The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with Pastor Harley Faber officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Claeys was born Sept. 12, 1924 in Winthrop, Ill., and was a son of Augusta and Victor Claeys Sr. He served in the Army and was a truck driver for 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering and taking care of his family. He was a big Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, Michael Claeys of Casa Grande; two brothers, Camiel Claeys of Wisconsin and Victor Claeys Jr. of Kenosha, Wis.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers.
