Tammy Vernell Torrence

COOLIDGE - Tammy Vernell Torrence, 57, died peacefully on Aug. 3, 2019.

Mrs. Torrence was born on March 18, 1962, in Nederland, Texas, to Dr. Edward and Scarlett Thibodeaux. She married her beloved partner Richard Torrence in 1983 and he died in 1986. Her elder son, Jason, died in 2014.

She loved to laugh and was a selfless, giving person who made sure those she loved never went without. She received a certificate as a nail technician and further specialized in the care of diabetic customers who required a distinct hand and foot wash and polish. She rarely sat still and enjoyed biking, walking and playing with her granddaughter.

Survivors include a daughter and son, Natasha and Adam; her parents; nine siblings; and a granddaughter.

Celebration of life from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the home of her parents in Coolidge.
