Steve Angelo Ramirez Jr., 50, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 4, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral there will be at 10 a.m. today.
Mr. Ramirez was born on May 1, 1963, in Houston. As a high school student he was a member of FFA, raising award-winning rabbits shown at local shows, including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He grew up loving the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman.
Nineteen years ago he, his wife and four children left Houston to begin a new life in Casa Grande. He was a corrections officer at Corrections Corporation of America’s Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy. As the years went by he became a motorcycle enthusiast and bought his first Harley-Davidson. He shared his enjoyment with his wife by taking long rides through the Arizona desert.
Survivors include his wife, Terri; four sons and daughters, Samantha, Steve, Jason and Brianna; his parents, Beatrice and Steve Ramirez Sr. of Houston; a brother, Jeff of Houston; and four grandchildren.
