Stanley Popiolek

Stanley John Popiolek Jr., 84, of Casa Grande died on April 19, 2013, at Hospice Family Care.
The service will be in Glenview, Ill.
Mr. Popiolek was born on March 5, 1929, in Evanston, Ill., and was a son of Stanley J. Popiolek and Bernice C. Szczepanick. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a U.S. postal clerk. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a 40-year member of the American Legion. He loved playing the accordion.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Frances M.; two daughters, Prudence H. Maurer of Lakemoor, Ill., and Bernice A. Leonard of Fox Lake, Ill.; a son, Andrew M. Popiolek of Lakemoor; two brothers, Ted Popiolek of Libertyville, Ill., and Joe Popiolek of Arlington Heights, Ill.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
