Stanley Ernest Ellis

COOLIDGE - Stanley Ernest Ellis, 92, of Coolidge died on June 28, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Ellis was born on Nov. 15, 1926, in Florence to Ernest Ellis and Gladys Wilson. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with family.

He served in the Navy, was a lifelong farmer and did so until his death. He and his wife, Patricia, owned and operated Blackwater Trading Post for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a brother, Hinton; and a daughter, Patty. Survivors include a sister, Kay Miller; a son, Allen Ellis; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

Service at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 8, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel, with a reception following at Coolidge-Florence Elks Lodge.
