Solanus Valenzuela

COWLIC VILLAGE — Solanus Gabriel Valenzuela Sr., 62, of Cowlic died on Jan. 29, 2011, in Laveen.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at the Acu�a home in Laveen. Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. at the Valenzuela home in San Xavier. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission in Cowlic. Burial will be Tuesday morning in Southwest Cowlic Cemetery.
Mr. Valenzuela was born on June 14, 1948, in Cowlic. He served in the Army from 1968 to 1970. He worked as a ranch hand and enjoyed roping and riding horses.
Survivors include three sons, Effrain and Solanus G. Valenzuela Jr. of Tucosn and Jeffrey Valenzuela of Sells; a brother, Vincent Valenzuela of Sells; six sisters, Carol, Stella and Mary Valenzuela, Janet and Arlene Garcia, all of Sells, and Dora Acu�a of Laveen; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rosa Valenzuela.
