SACATON — Shawn William Thompson Sr., 40, died Sept. 3, 2009 at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the District 3 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Thursday in East Sacaton Cemetery, with Loretta Blackwater officiating.

Mr. Thompson was born June 3, 1969 in Mesa. He was a forklift operator. He enjoyed his family and was an avid fisherman. He formerly was a “wannabe” biker and musician and enjoyed both.

Survivors include his companion, Carmen Robles; a daughter, Chene Thompson of Sacaton; a stepdaughter, Malorie Miguel of Sacaton; a son, Shawn Thompson Jr. of Sacaton; his father and stepmother, Edmund “Lee” Thompson Sr. and Janet Donahue of Sacaton; two brothers, Steve and Paul Thompson of Sacaton; a sister, Mary Thompson of Sacaton; his grandmother, Edith Huckabay of Sacaton; and a stepgranddaughter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Thompson, and a brother, Edmund Thompson Jr.
