Shawn Patrick Stephens

ELOY - Shawn Patrick Stephens, 52, of Eloy died on April 1, 2020, from medical complications.

Mr. Stephens was born on Sept. 1, 1967, in Corning, New York, and was the only natural child of Mary E. (Doty) Stephens. He and his mother moved to Arizona when he was 1 year old.

He loved camping, doing yard work and building little houses. As a toddler, he always wanted to help his mother dust, so she gave him a dry rag.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather of 47 years, Billy J.L. Stephens, in 2017. Survivors include his mother; a stepbrother, Billy Joe Stephens of Casa Grande; four children, Julian C. Ramirez of Stanfield, Alexus Cordova, Shawn P. Cordova and Francisco R. Cordova, all of Mesa; and three grandchildren.

Service later due to COVID-19 pandemic.
