Schulyer J. Stevens

October 12, 1932 — February 6, 2008

ARIZONA CITY - Schuyler J. Stevens, 75, of Juneau, Alaska, and a winter resident of Arizona City, died Feb. 6, 2008 following surgery in Phoenix.


A celebration of life will be held at the Stevens home in Arizona City on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Mr. Stevens was born Oct. 12, 1932 in Frankfort, Ky., and was a son of Schuyler Stevens and Susan New. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a civil engineer for the state of Alaska for 20 years.

Since his retirement he enjoyed his winters in Casa Grande and Arizona City. He loved Alaska, fishing, golf, coaching Little League, Babe Ruth and American Legion baseball and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Stevens. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Mark Stevens of Phoenix and David Stevens of Juneau; a daughter, Linda Berg of Anchorage; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Arizona City Boys and Girls Club.
