Sarah Valverde

COOLIDGE - Sarah Mercedes Valverde, 68, of Coolidge died on Sept. 26, 2013, in Casa Grande.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Adolfo Martinez.
Ms. Valverde was born on Dec. 28, 1944, in Mosquero, N.M., and was a daughter of Joe B. and Mary Valverde She was a homemaker and enjoyed socializing with friends, jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, bingo, going to church and watching television. She was a member of St. James Church.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew A. Valverde of Albuquerque, N.M., and Christopher C. Valverde of Coolidge; a daughter, Diane Martinez of Gardner, Mass.; four brothers, Joe E., John and Andy Valverde, all of Tucumcari, N.M., and Joe C. Valverde of Albuquerque; and a sister, Mele Armijo of Tucumcari. She was preceded in death by a son, David L.S. Valverde; four brothers, Jake, Charles, Carlos S. and Brigido Valverde; and three sisters, Dolores Martinez, Juanita and Mary Kay Valverde.
