Santos Lopez Rios

Santos Lopez Rios, 90, of Casa Grande died April 16, 2009 at RTA Hospice House.


Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2, with Pastor Juan Magallanes officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Ms. Rios was born June 8, 1918 in Ajo. She was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially the children. She enjoyed cooking for her family and loved going to the Apostolic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Sanders of Casa Grande and Naomi Alegria of Ajo; a son, Sam Daffern of Casa Grande; a brother, Benjamin Rios of Glendale; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Daffern; two daughters, Matilde Rios and Leonor Rubio; two brothers, Raciel and Santiago Rios; and three sisters, Carmen Mendez, Rita Carillo and Aurelia Montanes.
