Russell White

Russell Hau’pal White, 40, of Bapchule died on Oct. 24, 2021.

Mr. White was born in Phoenix on Nov. 16, 1980, to Emmett and Bernadette (Reed) White.
He sang since he was a young boy and participated in many celebrations and blessings as a traditional O’Otham singer.

He loved welding, telling stories of his generation and being a student of a medicine man. He was helpful, loving, caring, selfless and humorous, and his aura was so bright people could feel it when they walked into the room. He experienced a very cherished moment in September 1987 when he did the traditional blessing of Pope John Paul II with other medicine people as they also received a blessing in return from the pope.

He is survived by his mother; five sons and daughters, Nicholas, Bluewind, Aliyah, Lana and Roy White; and six siblings, Jeff, Ginger and Annalee Martin, Santee, Mollie and Raven-Star White. He was preceded in death by his father.
