Russell Johns

CASA BLANCA - Russell Spencer Johns, 45, of Casa Blanca died on Aug. 5, 2013, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at his home. The graveside service will be at 6 a.m. Saturday in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Mr. Johns was born on Dec. 22, 1967, in Sacaton. He was a casino inspector and was a strong and funny man. He loved being with family and friends and helping others and always wanted people to laugh and smile.
He believed in the traditional culture and was involved in community enrichment programs. He was very social and loved to go places and do things with the family he loved and cherished.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Johns of Polacca; two daughters, Nicole Johns of Polacca and Faith Johns of Sacaton; his companion, Shirley Jackson; a sister, Gwendolyn Johns of Salt River; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Joyce Johns; a brother, Ronald Johns; and a sister, Rhoda Johns.
