Rondell John Ramon

SACATON - Rondell John Ramon Sr., 49, died on July 7, 2019.

Mr. Ramon was born on Feb. 24, 1970. He was a kindhearted person who loved helping his mother and others in the community.

His hobbies were listening to music and getting wood for people in the community. He also enjoyed cooking. He was a civilian range controller for the Arizona National Guard.

Survivors include his companion, Candi White; five sons, Rondell Ramon Jr., Steven Jackson, Jacinto Ramon, Jacob Jones and Zane Ramon of Sacaton; his mother, Louise Johns; five brothers, Robert Jones Jr. of Komatke, Kevin Jones, Travis Ramon, Rodney Johns of Sacaton and Donavan Whitman of Ak-Chin; three sisters, Reynalda James of Blackwater, Delores Penuelas of Maricopa and Yvonne Whitman of Komatke; a stepdaughter, Marvalene Apkaw of Sacaton; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Tellas Whitman; four brothers, Victor Jones, Floyd Jones, Eric and Tellas Whitman Jr.; and four sisters, Patsy Johns, Pamela Jones, Lynette and Gladys Whitman.

Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 19, at the District 3 Service Center. Funeral at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, in Upper Santan Presbyterian Church. Burial in Upper Santan Cemetery.
